Fab Fours, Road Armor or Similar

I have an 05' Ram and I will be purchasing a new front bumper for my truck within the next two weeks. I really like the Road Armor Stealth Base Bumper Part # 44040B and the Fab Fours Grill Guard Part # A1051. I am interested to see who has bought either of these or a similar brand. What retailer did you use? I've found prices from 1700-2300. Thanks.

I bought a TDK bumper direct from them. Here's their web site and a couple of pics. http://throttledownkustoms.com/bumpers/

Winch Ready Bumpers

Last week I spoke to Dixie@Winch Ready bumpers in Redding.Ca. She's a former Road Armor distributor. Nice prices and website. www.winchready.com Road Armor has some folks pretty hot waiting for the product apparently.

I got mine from road armor when they had a sale for $830, it did take quite a bit longer then they said, but I found out they covered the $300 shipping charge. I didnt even ask, just found it on my statement.

if you do some looking, you can find the road armor base winch bumper for around $1100 inc. shipping. the piaa lights that fit in that bumper will set you back another $400 or so. the fab fours bumper (great company, and very cool people) will run around $2000, but the lights are included. road armor has kept lots of people waiting for their bumpers, which can get old, but doesn't seem to have a problem making things right (they comped me my piaa's), while fab fours had my rear bumper to me in about 1 week. the fab fours front is set up for the warn 16.5 winch, which you can even order from them, but is not cheap. i have nothing but good things to say about both companies' bumpers, and for most people it comes down to the $$$ difference.

I've had my Road Armor on order now for 3 months. They advertise 4 WEEKS. They sure didn't waste anytime charging my credit card though. Getting a little tired of the same old story everytime I call them. I really like the RA the best of all the bumpers, but, if I get the same run around when I call them today, I might just telll them to put it where the sun don't shine.

I have had my Road Armor for 2.5 years and the bumper is awesome. The coatings leave a little to be desired though. My recommendation to anyone is buy the bumper raw and have it coated locally. You will save money and get the color you want.

i would make sure they throw you something for the wait (piaa's, shipping, etc.) or i'd cancel the order and talk to fab fours.

I noticed that someone mentioned being comped $300 for shipping. Is that a typical cost for shipping one of these bumpers? Anyone pay more/less?

Guessing it weight like a couple hundred pounds and is shipped freight ya I would guess 300 by the time you figure in packaging, and handle that would normally charge.
