What are some of the exhaust tips you've installed? How do you like them, etc..

Ted,I installed the Megs tip on my 2004 ram 2500,I ordered it from Geno,s garage.Part #megs-0069.Price is $36.00 plus ship.Nice quality tip.I had to put a self tapping screw in mine.coobie

I have the same tip as Coobie. It slides right over your tailpipe and is supposed to stay there without a clamp or screw. I don't trust that it will stay so I got a 4" stainless bandclamp to hold it on. The clamp looks great and actually makes it look like the tip is about 4" longer. Since I liked the one clamp so much I got another and bolted it on beside the first. Now it looks like my tip is about 20" long....

I put the same tip on mine. Cleaned the exhaust pipe on the truck. The truck was cold and the outside temp was 30 degrees, had placed the tip on the heater in the house and it was about 125 degrees. I slid the tip onto the exhaust pipe and before I could position it exactly as I wanted, it had cooled and it stuck. It was almost as I wanted- so left it alone. Positioned almost like dodgezilla's. It is on tight with no screw or clamp.

I used a 4" turndown from Airflow Systems on mine. I don't like blowing soot in people's windows.

Gibson is listing a 18 inch 4 inch inlet/outlet turndown on their site for a while. It is polished stainless with a built in clamp. I ordered one at a local shop a while ago but it is still on backorder.

The thing I liked best when I had my 92 D250 CTD was that when I mashed the pedal it blew some wicked black smoke towards the cars beside me. It worked great if someone wouldn't let me into their lane.......

I had a chrome turndown on my 98 dualley but it only took a couple of days before the chrome started chipping. Stick with stainless. If I was gonna do it again I would also get a 5" tip....

Oh, it still blows out to the side pretty good. Just doesn't blow directly in the window of the car next to me. I can get people to back off any time I want - just upshift and mash it. The chrome on mine is holding up great, it still looks good except for some baked on tar specks.

I had the tar specs on mine until this weekend. I used Mothers mag and aluminum polish and I just had to reapply it 3 times but the third time actually softened up the tar enough that I could scratch it off with my fingernail. Now it looks like new again..

I think might be able to buy just the tips from mbrp or Mark Craig that are on my dual exhaust. check out my pics.

I have the Mopar 5'' tip on my truck. However, I am lucky enough to get my parts at dealer cost otherwise I never would have bought it. You see the Mopar tip list's for around $110 dollars, fortunetly I only paid half that.

I purchased the tip and the Mopar brushed aluminum fuel door together and at "my cost" it was cheaper than going through Geno's. Also the Mopar products are covered by the same 3yr/36,000 warranty as the truck so if they corrode or discolor they are replaced for free.

We have installed many of the plain single and double wall tips, but if you really want a tip that looks great and helps with the sound a Big Dog resonator tip might be a good way to go.

I bought a 5"x24" stainless MagnaFlow tip when I got my 4" system. Looks good on there. I'll try and get a picture when I get my truck back from the paint shop next week.
