Cool Exhaust systems

If I wanted to lose the factory exhaust system on my truck and wanted to put an after market, which would be the recommendation? Without adding any mods. And still be able to keep the good ol cummins rumble?

bdramsey,

I am a little biased but the MBRP single or duals in either aluminized, T-409 or T-304 stainless would be my choice. Check our site for lots of info and sound bites etc. www.dieselperformanceparts.com

I was looking at some of those. Trying to get some opinions from folks that have the others also.

I made my own w/ a Banks 4" Downpipe, 5' of straight pipe, Magnaflow muffler, and a nice 5" tip from Genos.
It sounds sweeeet!!!

I don't notice any drone. It's a little deeper and louder at idle but when you get on it it gets pretty loud, especially now with the Banks DP. I got the muffler at bigexhaust.com.

What about just taking the muffler off, and putting a peice of pipe in there only?

i have an auto..?? and i did the muffler eliminator pipe thing. Sounds sweet, and did it for less than 60 bucks. I do intend on upgrading to a full 5 inch system one day, but this works for now. You can hear the tubo from a MILE AWAY

I'm debating about pullin the ring outta the turbo. They sure made this one alot harder to get to..........Pulling the ring out of this one as easy as the 01.5?
