I listened to a 04.5 "600" cummins the other day. truck just like mine. When I asked the guy what exhaust system he had he said. "None". He removed the cat and muffler and strioaght piped it. I was expecting it to be much louder. It sounded great! Nice low rumble and the big rig sound when he got on it. He said it was louder when towing heavy but not to bad. I think the long bed quad cabs make the sound more tolerable (longer exhaust system and tip further from driver).

Screw buying a 400-800 dollar exhaust. I'm just going to straight pipe.
