Exhaust?

I was curious if anyone who has upgraded to 5" exhaust got a noticable gain in HP or lower EGT's?

I run a 6" Bully Dog set-up and notice a big drop in EGT's, Not to sure about performance as I did not dyno before the exhaust. But it sure helps keeps things cool!

I too have the 6" bully dog and am getting a lot of drone...especially at 2000 rpm and when towing. Are you experiencing the same thing?

I sure don't want any drone, I just like the WOT roar and just a whistle when cruising. If there isn't too much to gain from going from the 4" to the 5", wouldn't I basically get the same results by just swaping the stock muffler with Magnaflow or Dynomax and leaving the stock 4"?

Thumbs up juice

Just replace your stock muffler with an aftermarket one and you will be happy

Well, I have a shell, and Bed rug, plius I have a turn down tip on my truck. I am sure there probably is a drone, but, with Mud Grappler tires, I can't tell where any of the noise comes from.... It is loud.I was running a 4" Magnaflow in front of it and it took care of all the drone in the cab at highway speeds under load. But I am sure that you am aeroturbine in it and be just fine.

I still cannot figure out why my neighbors keep telling me where the closest Midas is?

I've got a Magnaflow 5" turbo back, lower EGT's than my stocker by along shot, alot more noise too. As far as power the biggest differance is that I can use the power without burying the Pyrometer. The 5" is too loud for me so it's on Ebay right now. Sounds great under normal driving but when you stand on it it really turns heads! Just a few Db. too much for my taste, all my friends think it's great...looks mean too!

Definately more power than stock, I had the Tripple Dog on with the stock system, it wasn't so much that there is more power now, but the EGT's were so high with the stock system that you had to get your foot out of it. Now the EGT's stay cooler longer so you can use the power the programmer gave you. I'm sure there is a bit more but it's more to keep EGT's down so the programmer can do it's job. I'm listing my 5" in the classified section today because it's a bit too loud for my taste, check it out if your interested.

My Magnaflow was 4" for about 10" from the turbo to clear the firewall then opened up to 5" all the way back. The muffler is a 5" straight shot with some packing around it, basically a 5" pipe!

I heard a 04 wit 4" and a magna flo today. That is without a doubt, the best sounding, lowest note at idle I have heard from an aftermarket exhaust. If mine sounds like that,I'll be more than pleased. The cat was removed also.

I removed my cat,and installed a flo-pro straight through muffler yesterday.I like it.The only time its louder is at idle and under accelleration. Not bad sounding at all.First 150 mile trip today with a noticable increase in milage(around 1.5-2mpg).Very pleased.
