When you had your hoods painted, did the paint shop tell you that the fenders and doors had to be painted to insure a match to the newly painted hood?
My RAM's an '06 with 700 miles and I took the SRT-10 hood to have it painted at a local shop and this was the line they fed me for painting the hood.
The SRT-10 hood was $590 from the dealer and the painter wants $900 to paint the hood, fenders and doors.
I'm currently looking for another paint shop!!!!!

They say there is a chance that the clear coat won't have the exact same sheen to it. However,,,,,mine turned out fine. And, I have not read anywhere that anyone has had a problem. Hopefully the other's will chime in with their result's.

Did any of you route the cool air opening to the air box via underhood ducts?
My SRT-10 hood arrived today and I will be dropping it off tomorrow at a paint shop that quote me $300 to paint the hood (top and bottom) and said that with a brand new truck the fenders don't need to be blended.
My dealer decided to keep my business and sell me the hood at the prices I found on-line at "www.makeitmopar.com" for $528.

Those of you with the SRT-10 hoods on your CTD's:
Have you noticed interference issues with the top of the radiator fan shroud and the bottom of the plastic scoop?
The top of my shroud contacts the rear of the plastic scoop fairly heavily and is visible through the scoop with the hood closed. This pressure might have been what caused Bad Ramer Jamer's scoop to come loose at speed.
Anyone done a modification to fix this issue?
(Trim the shroud or scoop down to fit with 1/4 - 3/8" clearance)

There was plenty of evidence of contact and rubbing between the upper arch of the fan shroud and the lower portion of the plastic intake opening. There are two ribs that run along the front side of the fan shroud that I trimmed back to being flush with the main body of the shroud and now there is room for things to move around. The initial contact wasn't terrible but there was enough to put pressure on the hood and plastic intake. Production tolerances will mean some will and some will not have this problem.
