HEY. You don't have a SRT-10 hood. Quit reading this.

Do yourself a favor. Check and make sure the scoop insert has all the clip's in place. I've alway's had the rear, center clip not clipped properly. That's just the way it was. Couldn't get it to clip on for nothing. Well, the other day it flew off and hit a car going the other direction. I guess he didn't realize it came off my truck, or he would have stopped. I got lucky and was able to pick it up before someone ran over it. The clip's will no longer hold it in. I used some nut's on the plastic alignment prong's to help secure it until I can get it fixed properly.

So go look at your hood.

Not necessary on mine

I didn't like the plastic insert so I milled a billet aluminum insert styled to my grille and attached it with studs and nuts. Looks decent too. Larry

The body shop that painted it. That's why I hate paying to get anything done.

I'm not talking about the little insert. I mean the whole scoop.

How do you loose the whole scoop off a SRT-10 hood?, its all one piece!? I have the hemi-sport hood scoop, I can see loosing that whole scoop if all the bolts came out.......................

Anyone found an air runner system to direct the cool air flow from the SRT-10 scoop to the Cummins air box on the 3rd gen models ('06 to be specific)?

I'd like to utilize that cool air and dump it directly onto/into the filter......

I considered fabricationg a sheet metal air runner/box for ram air when I installed the hood. Should be simple enough but after checking underhood temps while driving there wasn't any temperature advantage over pulling air from the right fender/bumper area. I did buy a oil cooler that would make a nice fuel cooler. Maybe we should duct the SRT to a fuel cooler mounted over the CP-3?? Then block it off for the winter........ lc

No, not this year. I pulled it once last summer, got first with my old '98 and second with the '04. I'm not in the race but I'm not trying to be either. Should I video you this year at Scheids?
