engine cranks won't start after sitting over night
Last friday night i parked my truck for the night. I get in it to leave saturday morning and it just cranks, won't start. Finally after five minutes of cranking on it, it finally starts. It started up and white smoked for a second and ran rough for a second or two as well, no CEL. The smoke cleared up and was running fine then, runs fine and doesn't smoke or miss once it was running. Went to a friends house and shut it off for about two hours, went to leave and it just cranked longer than normal but started up with no problems.
Truck sits Saturday night and wont start Sunday morning, just cranks, won't start. Give it a very small shot of either and it fires right up. Any suggesions?? Also fass has been removed, fuel pressure gauge shows 8 psi while cranking and rail pressure is 1,500 psi while cranking and won't go any higher unless you give it that shot of either and get it running. then its 5-7,000 psi.

youve got something lettin g the fuel go back to the tank and not letting pressure build up. i would lay odds its injectors, but it mite be the fca which controls the pressure on the fuel rail

You might want to go and check your injector connections, maybe that they have come loose or just need to be disconnected and reconnected again, just be sure none of the pins are bent before you plug them back in that could cause a whole other set of problems.

I would check the connector tubes first. happened twice to me and both instances was the tubes. If you see any imperfection in them then you can smooth them up or buy new for $30 each. Hope this helps, Good luck.
