Post Empty truck Road trip/MPG data

This last weekend I drove from Albuquerque to Phoenix…then on to Indio, California, where I purchased some wheels and tires from ptgarcia (good guy).

After about 100 or so miles, I was getting @ 16.5 MPG. But I was driving 75 to 80 MPH (my motor is very quiet and smooth above 2400 RPM).

I then drove through Holbrook and a few other small towns. When I arrived in
Phoenix, I filled up and was at @ 20.6 MPG. I was driving 65 MPH max for this tank (2100 RPM is not the smoothest. Too much drone).

From Phoenix to Indio and back to Phoenix (almost back to Phoenix), I was at 17.5 MPG. Of course I was driving about 75 MPH or slightly less.

I can only imagine what fuel mileage I would get with 3.73 gears. I can't wait to take see what my mileage will be with a progarmer/module.

I have driven mine alot (for me) empty lately. Minneapolis to Chicago and back. Minneapolis to Cedar rapids IA and back. Two trips from Minneapolis to St Louis. All in the last two months for business. I average a little over 21 mpg if I keep it 70 mph or under, and around 19-20 at 75. 3.73s and an auto 4x4. I was happy that I was getting over 600 miles per tank.

This weekend I finally get to pull my Jeep and go have some fun.

on the highway with my truck I am getting anywheres from 900 km to 1200km per tank, and I usually fill up at around 115 litres. Not quite sure how this converts to us gallons,, but in imperial gallons this is from 22 to 27 mpg. To get the good mileage I have to be under 115kmph which is I think around 70mph

...I wish I had 3.73's. My brother's 02 (6-speed 3.54's) is way better on fuel mileage. I'll just have to keep driving slowwwwwwly.

I hear that. I planned on the 35's when I bought the truck my experiance with gassers said 4.10's were what I needed to turn em. Had I realized how much power this thing had and how much difference a couple hundred rpm's made in milage I would definately gone 3.73's Oh well, even with 4.10's it still gets wayyyy better milage then any gas rig I've ever owned
