EGT gauge reading low?

I finally got my EGT gauge back working today after installing all new lead wires, gauge, amplifierbox and having nothing work, I put in a new thermocouple today and the gauge works again but it reads low. I mean low, crusing speed its at like 325, I can go WOT for 6-8 seconds and it will hardly reach 600 degrees with the Triple dog on performance and extreme. Why am I reading so low, I only drove it 3 miles but water temp was at 200 so it had to be a little warm. It is an Isspro gauge by the way and is installed pre-turbo. When the gauge worked before after a drive it would take a while to reach 300 degrees where now it drops right down to 225 as soon as I let off the throttle. Someone please help me, I am sick and tired of dealing with this gauge.

I had the same issue with an X-Monitor from BD. It just seemed like it started reading low for no reason. It reads in the 300's on the highway and on long passes towing heavy seldom hit 700*. These are post turbo readings. Previously, while towing the hills, I saw about 850*, which seems normal but I don't know why it dropped almost 200*. I sent it in for calibration and was told that it was accurate. I towed the highways last weekend and saw 450* but expected more.
