![Question](https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I,m looking at a "plug & play" for the '03. I had a van Aaken in my 2000 and liked it. Should I wait and make sure all problems have been resolved with the 3rd gen boxes? I like the concept of the plug & play because I can remove it before I go to the dealer for warranty work. Any & all comments/experienced welcome. Thanks, J

Welcome to the board. I'll bite. So far I have seen nothing from Van Aaken for the 03. I sell and recommend Edge EZ. It is a simple install and I have not had any problems or complaints with any of the ones I have sold. As far as dealer issues, that is between the vehicle owner and the dealer. The rail pressure max is going to show up on the dealers scan tools, but if you drain the capacitors and restart with the EZ removed it should reset this reading. I know there are new boxes on the horizon, but I think the EZ will still be a good seller and worth the price, lots of people don't need or want more than what an EZ will give.

Rail Pressure and battery drain.
If the tech at chrysler knows what to look for they can find a max rail pressure reading, I watched a guy find it on Saturday. If you take off the EZ, unhook the battery cables, turn on the lights (or any power source that is not key related) and let the vehicle sit for a length of time, then rehook and restart the old rail max should be gone and a new one will be set when you drive again. This does not mean that the chrysler cannot determine you had a fueling box, they may be able to trace it anyway, but the tech here did not know another way tell.
