Edge Ez Vs. PowerPup Vs. Others

Hey guys I'm new to the Dodge family and I want to upgrade the horsepower performance on the truck.

I’m looking to add the EDGE EZ or the Bullydog Power Pup. Which one do you think is better? I’ve also seen this display from EDGE EZ on a Duramax . Is this available or will it be available for the Cummings?

Also, can this two units be programmed and changed the level on the fly? Meaning while the car is running.

I’m looking to add a TST later on down the road and have the boxes stacked.

Are there any other boxes you would recommend? I think I’ve caught the bug and want to do some work on the truck.

Thanks...

Power boxes

That picture is of the EDGE Attitude in-cab controler. I don't believe you can use that with the EDGE EZ, but it does accompany the EDGE Juice. The Juice isn't yet available,....but soon,...very soon. It's not a good idea to compare the TST w/EDGE EZ. It will be more comparable to compare the TST w/ the Juice w/Attitude, Quadzilla DL, Bully Dog DL. DL means down loader, as in no box and power enhancement program is down loaded into the computer. Those can be in-cab adjustable with the Bully Dog Outlook programmer and gauge package (sold separately). When you go beyond an EDGE EZ or similar fueling enhancement product, be prepared to spend some major $$$'s to upgrade other systems of your truck or you'll be breaking things. The 1st $$$ you need to spend is for gauges (especially EGT). That gauge does come with the Attitude or Outlook controlers. You've got to know what your engine is doing at all times and when it gets into the danger zone. You only get that info through gauges. Happy Bombing.

I talked to Edge the other day they had hoped to release Juice w attitude monitor by Christmas for the 04.5 and up Ctd 600. 03-04 late Jan mid Feb 05 maybe???
Power pup will provide more ponies than ez does that make it better I don't know I sell both so I walk a straight line specially when you plan to stack make sure you upgrade everything else when you do that trans, turbo, exhaust and intake that procedure is hard on the trucks

I like the Power Pup. I had the EZ before and prefer the Pup. I like the turn down for icy roads with the Outlook and the higher power that the EZ for when its not icy. I gave up waiting for Edge.....2 more weeks ...last year they were still saying that Plus the pup and outlook seem to be good value......and hopefully a bigger HP program coming sometime Have driven a truck with the TST as well and it was sweet too, but I believe someone posted Dyno numbers, and stacking a TST and Pup did NOT gain anything over the TST alone. Something to think about anyway that if you want to stack with a TST later you want a pressure box only now.

I was at BD-Power's Dyno Day recently and they had too 600s with TST's... one was stacked with an EZ. They both put out real good numbers (TST on an otherwise stock drivetrain) on level 7 put out just over 400HP. But anyhow, the stacked one had more power all the way across because the EZ picked up the slack from the TST at the lower RPMs.

Sorry guys... CUMMINS!!!!!

Thanks for all the help. With all of your comments it looks like the power pup will give me more HP over the Edge. I'm thinking about just adding the TST for now to get the most HP potential.

BTW: I'm also going to be adding intake and exhaust. Do you think I'll be able to add the TST alone without a trans or turbo upgrade?

Also will the EDGE attitude monitor work alone with the TST?

Thanks

the attitude monitor will only work for the edge juice but tst has their own guage set up. The tst is capable of high egt's turbo upgrade is a good idea as well as a torque convertor and valve body upgrade
