edge ez question

I have a edge ez that i was trying to stack with my smarty i turned the smarty to stock rail pressure when i connect the edge i get high rail pressure even set on level 1. It is a edge ez1000d with the 3 position switch.
I was going to run level 1 and switch it higher when needing more but the pressure stays the same in all postions is this normal.

Answers to a few questions might help us help you with this one.
First off...what are you considering "high rail pressure"?
Secondly...are your rail pressure readings while sitting at idle, or while actually driving?

Lastly, have you driven the truck with the EZ in the different positions and watched the rail pressure under load to see if it fluxuates less on the higher settings than on the lower settings?

with the edge ez disconnected with just the smarty peak rail pressure is 24000 cruising at 70 it is around 18000.with the edge on level 1 peak is 26000 and cruising at 70 is 21000 to 22000.Even if i change levels cruising and peak pressure stays about the same.

That is maybe a little higher than my rail pressure with the EZ stacked. But I see the same general 2k difference without the EZ.

should the rail pressure change when i change the levels on the edge switch? The rail pressure stays about the same in all the positions right now.
Thanks Trent

My max rp did not go up with the different EZ levels, but low end ramped up RP faster.

There is always concerns about higher than stock rail pressure for extended periods being hard on injectors. Not a question I can answer. The cruising 70 at 18k does not seem all that much higher than normal. But I am not an injector expert at all.
