Hi all. On Edge's web site they say the EZ can be adjusted to stock power without removing box. Is this "power level 1" as it states in the manual, ie. no jumpers on right side of panel?

 

I have mine on level one and its difinately not stock power.

Level one I believe is 40hp and 150 torque.

Not sure what jumpers to use to make it stock.

 

Are you seeing better mileage if you take it easy? How does the trans feel? Are you worried about it at all.

I've only had the edge box on this truck for a week now, so I can't really say if there's been a mileage increase. According to the overhead trip comp there's a huge improvement, but I've read that the box will screw up the mileage computations. It does however have MUCH more power, but I knew that as my '02 had the EZ on it as well with a major power increase. It seems to add more power on the '04 however, and I haven't tried Level 4.....yet.

Not too worried about clutch, put 100K on the '02 with box and 80% of mileage was pulling 15K trailer. Never slipped once. Keep the revs up when towing heavy.
The thing is this truck has 50 more horses stock than the '02 HO, I was a bit worried if the tranny would hold under heavy pull with box, as it's near maxed out stock for torque, according to manufacturers specs.
Also EGT's. My '02 had a larger turbo.

Will have to phone Edge to get an answer, I suppose.
