Whether you go with a downloader like BullyDog or something like Edge the install is very easy. The downloader does all the work once you plug it in under the dash. Edge installs under the hood and simply plugs into the factory wiring but you have to drill and tap for the egt probe. They are all easy. And like Dirteater said, call Mark Craig at DPP, he is a sponser here. Super guy to deal with what ever you decide. He can help you alot. He can probably answer all your questions on the phone if you would like.

Im just gonna add 1 thing...its a moral decision on your part, BUT the bullydog leaves timestamps of when it modifies teh computer. If something fails, DC will see the timestamps and wonder why they are there. Warranty goes byebye. You stand a greater chance with edge since it does not reprogram the comptuer.

I asked my dealer about that and he said their tech's checked and could not find any sign there was a downloader ever used. I am not saying you are wrong because I don't know. Just saying the Dodge Tech's couldn't find it.

My brother in law is a diesel mechanic/tech for a dodge dealer. Has been for a very long time. He searched mine for a footprint of my tripledog and couldn't find anything. Not saying anyone is wrong on here but he couldn't find it on mine.

the question is...will your truck really handle all the chip can offer? If you have an auto, its gonna slip way before the crazy larry setting. It will do it with the edge juice on 5 and before hot juice too.

Well, its a debate... I have heard stories about voided warranties because of it. What settings ahve you had yours on?? Im wondering if its gone out of parameters on boost or rail pressure to set off a flag with the computer.

What 8mpg is saying is very true. How about filling out your signature for us. It would be nice to know a little more about your truck.

Hot Juice you send it back to Edge with a $100.00 bill and they upgrade it. Crazy Larry is a free download you get off the internet. Either will burn your clutch out.

Yes it installs in the cab. It plugs into the computer under the dash beside the hood release handle. You can leave it plugged in or choose your setting and unplug it and put it away. If you tow or run it hard I would suggest an egt gauge at least. Boost gauge is optional since the BullyDog doesn't change the boost.
