Economy Box

Which box offers the best increase in MPG? I know that it is hard not to tap all of that new power but after the new wears off which box gives best MPG.

I am thinking about purchasing a box but most of the time I would like better economy.

Dynocon,

Lots and lots of variables to guarantee you the best MPG gians etc. But we have had the best oberall luck with the Van Aaken 3.2 or the Bully Dog Triple Dogs!

I installed the Rokkteck sensor last summer and can not see any difference.

As far as the boxes go I see Quad, Bully and Van Aken, do you have any good numbers?

There are alot of Banks bashers on here, but I put a 6 Gun and Speedloader and have seen a difference. I used to get 16 in town, now im getting 18 to 19 mpg in town, if I can keep my foot out of it. Those figures are hand calculated. Hope this helps...

Installed a Rokktech on mine(03) and my neighbors 05 auto.Better cold starts, smoother idle, his off the jump start could feel more low end and BOTH got better mileage. Not a lot better but better.Just the cold start, smoother idle made the mode worth while.

That's hard to nail down.

I finally bit the bullet and got the edge. Only had it since yesterday and only had it on the number 1 setting. Didn't change my driving habits but I haven't fueled up yet either. Might be seeing a little better mpg. My overhead that has been off as much as +5 mpg has climbed 2/10s and the scan gauge is showing improved mileage also. I've been pullin a 5k trailer since the install around town.
I'm about to go on a 7000mi trip, that's why I got it to see if it really works.

I put a rokktech on my 03 last August and got about 1 mpg better and better low end on take of. As the weather got colder I began to get sort of a kick back when starting it cold. I put 5 thicknesses of black tape on the sensor and it seemed to help but the best thing is my mileage did'nt fall off this winter as it has in the past. I'm not sure if it's the sensor or maybe the trucks just getting enough miles on it now it's loosening up. I do like the way the truck runs with the rokktech. When I added the nitto's I had to run the box on the low setting for it to have the same pickup as with the stock tires now i run it off most of the time unless I'm pulling.

Hey Mark,

Can you explain what you have seen using the two boxes you mention. Real curious what kind of MPG increase can be had from adding a small box or program flash.
