so if a small fan improves power (or economy) that much, wouldn't it seem like removing the silencer ring would make for much worse power, because of the restriction caused by the shape of the turbo inlet?
im a mpg guy and im still on the fence on the silencer ring issue. its out now because i like the sound, but if the pre-turbo structures have such a dramatic effect on power or economy it might be going back in.
anyone have any REAL evidence either way on this?

I just advance my timeing, tone ring mod, did help on the low end and through the hole rpm range. I turn the fan off ocassionally like going down a hill with the jake on. The jake seems to work better with the fan off. Some times I forget to turn the fan back on and I notice after a while why is this thing not takeing off like it was. Duh I forgot to turn the fan back on. On a side not I just turned off the hydrogen and what a difference it made for the worse. I hope to have the hydrogen back on tomorrow with the 30Amp dimmer switch hooked up.
