Dunrite torque conveters

Has anyone had any dealings with this company? They have been in buisness for over 40 years, and I trust them, but have never heard of them. They claim to have pioneered the performance converter market. They told me that the reason I don't hear about the company, is they don't do a whole lot of advertising(keeping costs down) and their stuff works, and people don't complain. They sell a single disc performance tc rated at 500rwhp@20,000# gross w/a 5year unlimited milage warranty for $850. And I was wandering how they could do it. Heck there 3disc comes with a lifetime warranty with up to 750rwhp@20,000# and it's only $1250.

HotRodDiesels.com installed my Dunrite TC and did the custom build on the transmission using the Dunrite VB kit among other things.

Mine is a triple disc custom stall converter. They are switching it with a tighter build Dunrite Torque Converter today. No problems so far, very driveable. Don't need both feet on the break at stop lights. I asked for tighter TC for racing. Need better 60' times.

Sweet!!! Yeah I'm running into the problem that Tony Dunrite said I would. That every tranny shop is wanting to sell me a full re-build, and are suspisious of using someone else's parts and won't warranty their work because of it. I know they just want me to use their own, more expensive suppliers so they can have better profits. Meanwhile he's trying to locate a shop in the PHX, AZ area where I'm at now that is willing to work with both of our intrests in mind and not just the bottom line $$$ of it.
