Due To Continuous Backorder!

I will not have Bilstein shocks on my truck.

I have tried for the last month to find a descent price on their shocks only to have shipping prices far exceed the price of the shocks!! Wait a minute let me think about it NO! I will not put up with any vendor who cannot and will not provide their own product on a timeley basis! I'm not about to fork over 400.00 for a product that may or may not ship tomorrow!!

I instead ordered Rancho Rs 9000's to be shipped tomorrow. They will probably better suit my needs as I tow daily and only occasionly off road.
All four shocks were in stock!!!! What a concept!!!! With their lifetime warranty I'll get new ones every year if needed, regardless .

Genos

Was Genos on backorder also? Just curious because my neighbor is considering contacting them with an order.

I got all four shocks for 373.00 and they will be delivered tomorrow, Free, shipping!

I contacted Bilstein and got this Blah Blah story about they are changing the mfg to the U.S. Blah Blah! NOT MY PROBLEM!!!

I just got tired of checking all of the vendors only to find that none had all four shocks in stock. I did not check Genos as I gave up after 4 online vendors!

I definetly made the right choice as the vendor that I purchased from has a local outlet. And they will back up their products!!! (Or burn to the ground)

You didn't order the 9000's did you? Hopefully not, because the Bilstein's are waaaaay better.

Rick,

Let me know how your Rancho 9000's work out. I just installed them on my truck and so far so good. I too, thought about the Bilstein's.......but they are not adjustable...to my knowledge.

Right now, I have mine set to 7 on the front and 3 on the rear. If I decide to pull heavy, I will prob up the rears to 7 or 8.

They don't need to be, they're built/valved to handle the load and still be plush. Cheaper shocks tend to be firm in order to handle the load.

Got my Bilsteins from Genos about 2 weeks ago. Good luck w/ the 9000's. I had them on my 01 and they were junk in a short time.

i just ordered mine on ebay-they will be at my house tomorrow. the guy said i got the last ones in stock. everybody else i contacted said they are on national backorder (the rear shocks) until march 13th. if you call aprund enough-you'll find somebody who has them in stock. i paid alittle more than the best price i found-but they did not have them in stock. (i paid 30.00 bucks more-but i'll have them for a weekend install)

Sounds to me like the Bilsteins must be good enough to sell just about everyone out! I had bilsteins on my last thee trucks loved em and no problems.

My buddy put rancho's on his truck and I have to say one thing. Good thing he kept his reciept and rancho honored their warranty! He ended up with bilsteins after his third blown seal in less than a year!

If I can't get em right now I think I'll wait - it's worth it!
