Dual shock question

I have been looking around at different suspension upgrades and ladder bars, and got to wondering about the advantage of a dual shock set-up.

Does this provide any real advantage, or is it just a more cosmetic upgrade? Seems like it's always guys with big lift kits that run them.

Also do you need different shocks if you run a dual setup? (shocks valved to run in pairs?)

Ladder bars and a rear sway bar are on my list so far, but just wondering if it is worth my time to design mounts for dual shocks also.

dual shock brackets

I saw some sweet dual shock brackets made by Skyjacker. Top Gun Customz is selling them for $160. Nice setup.

Have you decided what shocks you're going with? I don't know who makes them but I saw a set the other day in a magazine pic and they were stainless-looking. Really cool.

I am running triple shocks in front and singles in back.. I did notice that my ride got a little smoother with the triples in front and the front didnt sag as bad as it did when i was running a single shock in front..

Doesn't the spring control sag, and the shock control dampening and rebound?

Honestly i dont know.. I know when i was running singles up front when i would back up outta my drive-way i would rub when turning the wheels.. I went to the triple front set up and that never happened again..

Then again maybe it just controled the movement better so it wouldnt rub..
