I take it the GDP intake will work with dual pumps?

I will prob do intake and exhaust manifolds then dual pumps and I have been lookin hard at the GDP intake, so that would be a big selling point for me. I never considered what intake to run to clear the dual pumps.

I'm looking at these intakes and was wondering if you noticed any loss in boost? I could be wrong in thinking this, but with a much larger volume you would lose pressure, right?

Question measurable results

What I really want to know is what are the measurable results of this intake horn? I have read information that most a/m horns do little to nothing for HP. So, when the company says 30 more HP what are they measuring? With what modifications to the engine? I have nothing more than intake, exhaust and smarty jr. would this be a good use of $300. or just look shiney and cool?

With the intake horns the max power gains is seen at around 1900 rpms. Doesn't increase the peak power but helps in the lower rpm range.

I think it would look awesome polished up. I wonder how it would stack up against a CFM or a Bully Dog intake?

somebody, maybe even the company that is marketing these, should do a before/after dyno run just to put it all in black and white. That would make people a lot more comfortable spending money on it.

There was a thread a while back showing various intake horns. They definately do add "some" horsepower/torque. I know I can tell some power gain from mine without even dynoing it. It def. helps on the low end for sure.

I will be dynoing again on July 19th on the same dyno I made the 518 in my sig with...so maybe it will show something.

..

No not when you can make 800hp with a stock one. Guess if you have the cash and like the looks why not.

You can also make 800HP with the stock 4" exhaust but whats the first thing to go?

I agree they are not worth the 300+ they are selling for and there is more HP to be had with the money but I like mine. I used to have a problem with boost creep. I had the wastegate set to 45PSI and could peg my gauge at 60 with a good run in 6th gear. Since I have put on the horn it stays right where I set it. I read boost at the horn and not the manifold.

It is pretty amazing though when you look at Lloyds truck, making 1300HP, and there sits a stock intake horn with a few widgits hanging out of it.

I won the oil cap at one of the Fall or Spring Brawls in Dillsburg. I think Genos sells them.
