My 3600# is got quite a bit of pedal pressure. you get used to it, but everytime someone hops in the truck I get the comment, Wow, why is your clutch so hard to push in? I can only imagine the 3850# is more.

The 3850 is great! It seemed really stiff at first, but it's not that bad now...maybe I'm just getting used to it. As far as slipping, there is none!
Others have commented that it's either an "on" or "off" clutch. I've not found that to be true, it's just that the amount of "throw" you have in the pedal is a lot less than stock, but definately driveable.
The only downside so far, is that sometimes it's hard to get into gear at a stop. Sometimes it's worse than others...maybe it's just me still getting used to it.
If you have alot of different people drive your truck on a regular basis, it's probably not the best thing...but if it's just you, then, I say go for it! --Eric

There're should be slippage of a DD clutch.
And you say there isnt on-off well then thats slippage.
ONLY get a DD 3850 if you plan on slead pulling where you can slip it to build boost at the line and then launch at 20psi otherwise get a wayyyyy more streetable lighter load or SD clutch.

i have the 3850 12 cb the drivability for me is actually better then my last truck with a single disk fe the peddle is a little stiff at first but you'll get used to it in less than a week i like it better than stock and it held a 4th low launch with a sled at 30 psi

My outlook on clutches is if a OFE can hold 550hp on the street and I dont slead pull then why would I want all of the BS that comes along with a 3850 DD when a OFE will work just fine.
If you slead pull definetly get a 3850 DD.
So that only makes 2 decissions for me and most. OFE and dont slead pull or 3850 DD and slead pull.
Pulling sure sounds like fun but it is out of my budget and I dont want to trash my $40K diesel tow rig and loose realiability
My stocker is still holding up after 4 hard years and a few 440 hp dyno pulls. If my stocker can hold 440hp back for 3 years then I know a OFe can handle 550hp for a long time, and my wife can still drive it
