I am having problems loading another program from my computer. I have put the CDM 2.00 driver along with the smarty file and the Usb exe in to a new folder and then I use 7 zip to extract here on the CDM 2.00 and when I plug smarty in I hear an acknowledgment but no wizard. I run the manual hardware wizard and it says FTD1FTD2XX is already installed and nothings wrong with the usbs or roots. Please help. I searched and did a lot of reading, I have no idea whats wrong and I talked to Bob Wagner today and he helped me this far, but I can't get a hold of him and don't know whats next. Thanks.

Sorry its taken me a couple days to respond. 1/2 hour after writing the thread Bob Wagner called me and he helped me fix my computer illiteracy in about 3 minutes. Thanks Bob

 

can you help me? I've done everything Bob had mentioned, but to no avail.... my computer won't even beep anymore when I plug in the smarty (finding new hardware)?

 

Give Bob a call he will walk you through everything. You can try looking in hardware and then plug in usb and if it sees the plug in you will notice a new hardware. My problem was I was zipping the cdm file but you have to do it to the smarty upgrade file also.
