last night i was putting my new stacks in and realized that my down pipe had broken right at the turbo. so i need an new one. a buddy has an 04.5 will that fit mine? if not who has the cheapest one?

The down pipe from his truck will not fit unless you also get the turbo elbow and clamp from a 04.5 or later truck. His down pipe and turbo elbow are 4", and your 04 is 3.5".

The 04.5 and later elbow will mount right up to your turbo if you grind down one or both of the mounting pins. I did it on my 03...was a nice small upgrade.

I don't know who would have the cheapest, but I paid around $115 for a 05 down pipe, elbow, and clamp from my dealership a couple years ago or so.

I was under the impression that it was a direct bolt up. So the 03-04 does not have the clamp on the downpipe? I'm sure you could pick those up at any dealer Steve and bolt the new one up. I bet the truck sounds wicked with no exhaust.

o yeah its crazy but the fumes are bad they burn ur eyes, but it does sound like a dragster....or that sled puller truck.

I picked up my down pipe from a fellow DTR member for $50, paid $48 for the elbow brand new from the dealer, and forgot to get the clamp while I was down there, so I need a clamp, which I have found to be part # 52121285AA for the clamp.

The part # for the elbow is: 5161570AA
