I was wondering if you could injectors from a marine engine in a 305/555 engine, the injectors came out of a engine with a horespower rating of 380hp, and are the spray pattern different. Thanks....Jon

At taht much fuel your spraying in there it would take an extreme turbo to burn that off. I think you would be changing oil after every run since you would probably wash out your cylinders every time.

Have you compared the two side by side. The common rail cummins marine injectors I have seen have had a longer injector body then our truck, the top solenoid looks to be the same as does the bottom half of the injector body and nozzle just longer. The spray pattern I would imagine might be a tad off as well and we wouldnt want that.

Not exactly the same, but 12v guys have been running marine injectors with the wrong spray pattern for decades (155* instead of 145*) with no damadge. They are smoky though.
Even though there are many newer, better options many still run them because they are good bang for the buck.

Oh I thought you meant 380hp over the stock 305. Most injectors are based on the horspower they have over stock. Sorry about that, I wonder if those amrine injectors have the failure rate of the ones in our engines. Another one of my buddies is making oil and white smoke. Number 2 injector is shot. I think he caught it before he wipe out the piston so far. I trashed my motor because of it.
