Does your converter slip w/ 100hp box?

Has anyone else ran into this problem when they put a box in? Mine did with a TS performance ramifier. It was most pronounced in OD at 1300 rpms, it would jump up to around 1700 when I leaned on it. I just hooked up to #9000 and hit the highway NO box. Tranny didn't slip at all, I hit some big hills but I couln't get it to do the same think. One thing I hated is that it would be at 2500rpm to get the trailer to move. I thought my trans might be weak but I guess they can't take much more power than stock. I'm looking at a suncoast converter and valve body, any opinions welcome.

I'd say you're on the right track... TC/VB at least.
