I have had an MP-8 for a few years (it used to be called a ramifire)

It does make some real power but it comes at a cost. high EGT'S. Over time they have definitely done some fine tuning on the unit and it does come on allot smoother than it did in the early stages. It has quit on me twice though but i have to say their customer service is very good. Both times it was replaced with an up-dated version with no questions asked.

That being said, i am trying out a smarty from bob (demo unit) and like it allot so far. Ive only tried it on sw7 so far, but im getting ready to tow my 5er this week and am curious to see how it does on setting 3. On sw7 i can hit 1400 plus in a matter of seconds witch worries me somewhat. Needless to say i cant even touch the MP-8 dial , so its kinda worthless in this situation

I just put a MP-8 on mine and love the way it fuels down low (even lower than the VA IMHO). that is where I want the power, I don't want something that has to be at redline to make its power. at about 25% on the Mp-8 with my flux 2.5's it just hazes out the exhaust @ low rpm WOT. the smoke didn't clear up all the way to redline where it did with the VA.
in my truck the Va tst stack did 457/1002 whereas a similarly equipped truck with a EZ has higher Hp but lower torque.
Lets clarify. The EZ is mild on 04.5+ trucks. I agree, on 03-04 trucks it adds a lot of pressure!
