Does the ATS exhaust manifold help with spool?
Just curious if the 2-piece 3rd gen manifold really helps with spooling a turbo. I have a little lag with the new turbo (not bad) just wondering how many people it has worked well for. Not changing the turbine wheel it does to good a job in EGT reduction with the combo. It is a HTT 62/71/13ss turbo. Found them for 399.00 on ebay without gaskets.

I've asked the same thing. Since I see that you're engine is basically stock, I would say not really. You're better off adding a pressure box of your choice to help boost.
For my case, I figure if the turbo goes out while I'm under warranty, I'll replace the turbo only. If it goes out afterwards, I'll just port match to the gaskets & polish the stock manifold.

I’m running the ATS with the HTT 62/65/13ss and love the combo. It’s hard to say if the ATS helped with spool-up or if the 65 wheel is the primary reason. I have to say the ATS is impressive, very beefy, much smoother runs, cleaned and smooth very well and it came coated, no rust. I think it’s worth the money, especially when you see the stock compared to the ATS. Great combo.
