I was wondering how Dodge screwed him? He went in with the smarty and quad installed with noises in the engine, probably check engine light was on and he didn't pull and try to clear codes first?

Wow, I am not sure what to say.

I can offer some info about our module. Unless it is broken really bad or plugged in backwards it will not ever cause the rail to go to 27K. If you plug it in wrong, or backwards or don't get 1 plug in at all the rail will go in the 20-27K range on its own as a safe mode since it does not see signal. I have never seen a box that broke and caused this. I have seen them have a bad idle, run rough on top or not start but, never just cause a truck to go to 27K.

My guess is something is wrong with the FCA??? This part can wreak havoc on your life if it wants to.

What you should have done is removed everything and let them see if they found a problem. Not to just hide it from them but, to keep them from just pointing fingers. It is easy to look at something, unplug it or re-plug it and oh this is it give me my money.

Then if they DID NOT find something wrong you know it was an aftermarket part.

I hate to point the finger at the veggie oil because I do not know enough about it. I do not know the pros and cons and the side effects at all so I cannot speak on that subject at all.

You are close to us and you can swing by or send that box to us to check anytime. WE will let you know if it is the problem or not.

The glacier kit won't make crazy high pressure like that. If you unplug the FCA, it'll max out also.
Thats what I was thinking...something like the FCA didn't like the junk passing through it and hung open.

Good luck BossHogg. Want to go race this Friday?

Paul4fromtX,
You shut you mouth! The lady was very nice!

Anyway, I was hungover and wanted to run some french fry juice! Dont ask me why, Im sure some of you guys on here have done some weird stuff after an all nighter!

Anyway, I havent plugged the Quad back in to see if its the culpret, but I did look and try. I was gonna plug it in yesterday, but I didnt look too long, but it looked like they might have put some different plugs on it cause I dont have the a way to plug them in anymore. Im hoping Dodge didnt put some different connectors on it or something. The guy was a real ***!

976347(something= PHIL),
Races are Friday night? or this weekend? If its Friday I cant, its my Wifes BDay, and there is probably no where else she would rather NOT be than the races! I might be able to swing it on Saturday if thats when they are. Cause man I want to smoke you on the track BAD!!! I have your # in my sights, so at some point be ready to take a whoopin son!!

...Im just PO'd cause I was low on brain cells that day, and did the Dumb! Now my truck may idle a tiny bit rougher, and Im not sure, its a mind thing maybe. Plus my Quad is unhooked and I my hammer is gone! And when my FCA stuck wide open, I think it strained my poor old stocker tranny and its not feeling so hot now!

Dang Willie, Waylon, and even the Boys' too!

haha I was just messing with you...since you challenged me to a race when you knew my truck was broken! I have a new challenge for you. Let's see you peg a 60psi boost gauge! I've done it 3 times now.

While the Lady at the filling station might have known nothing or she actually might have known something, she is irrelevant at this point, probabl the bio stuff just cleaned all the garbage out of you system and then threw it at the engine. Certainly would explain your experience.

I carry both fuel filters JUST for the kind of problem you experienced. I also would not run that stuff in my truck. I learned the hard way too many years ago on a gasoline truck. Made a trip up to Minnesota, got fuel in Wisconsin, I did not notice that the gasoline I was getting was 'corn' powered. That stuff cleaned out my system real good, my truck sputtered for over a 100 miles until I could get the tank down some and get the regular gasoline. Now I read EVERY pump well when in the mid-west, both driving my diesel or driving my gas powered car.

Well fine, you got me there, but try pegging 44psi with a Smarty/Quad stack for over 4months, while still hammering down on my stock tranny with 104+k miles!!! I have a buddy who has had a few different dodges that were turned up, and he rode in my truck last night and couldnt believe my tranny was still pulling strong, especally with all the power. I know I know, I will burn it up soon, but 104k out of it, and chipped almost 90% of those miles is an accomplisment in my opinion!!!

Im getting my moneys worth!! But I'll still find a way to beat ya, I play dirty!

Guys,
Is there anything I should run now to clear the rest of this up? The same buddy, as metioned above, told me I should go ahead and try and get rid of the rest of the goo. He mentioned adding some diesel injector cleaner stuff mixed with Marvel mystery oil to clear up the tarnishing?? Just sounded like another jinx!

Its been running better, except for today after I filled up, it ran rough for about 10-15min. Noting knocking, just rough idle. Any clue's what this could be, or just the Dodge getting some revenge on me? I know it sounds stupid, but this sucker seems to fix itself every once in a while.

I have run a couple tanks of B50 in my truck and quite a few more in the Jetta without any issues, not even a clogged filter. There was one issue when my wife told me to lay some some smoke and she complained that it did not smoke as much.

As long as there was no water in it you should be OK. Biodiesel has more lubricity than #2 diesel so I don't see why it would make anything stick.

If they tinkered with it, that could be a whole bunch of the problem. I would highly recommend getting it back to us or bringing it by here yourself if you suspect any tampering. We can check stuff out pretty quickly and it might save a ton of headaches.

Are you blaming leaving all this stuff on your truck when you took it in on a hangover too??

Geez, what were drinking??? Turpentine?

Quad,
No hangover that time, I was just at work and the dodge house was closer than anything else. It was better than being stranded in the middle of Plano Parkway, sitting 4 cars back with my hazzards on at a stoplight.

But man my truck was running good before this and the bio diesel is the only thing I would think could have caused it. Im just wondering what it could be. I will look at the wireing alot closer and will keep you posted. Im just wondring what I could run through the fuel system to help prevent the problem that is safe?
