do it yourself dual pod pillar w/ grabhandle

stock pillar + autometer dual pod section (cut from dual pod pillar) = dual pod pillar w/ grabhandle.

i havent finished this project yet, i wont have the egt gauge to install until after the new year so for now it is on hold. currently i only have the srt10 pillar w/ boost gauge because my old egt gauge broke. i would write up a how to but it is very simple and pretty much self explanitory, just wanted to show it can easily be done.

Have you test fit it in the truck yet? I was lookin at mine and wasnt sure if thered be enough room for 2...is that one of the pods thats molded in the factory color, or did you paint it? Either way, looks good.

How you gonna attach it; rivets? Double sided tape?

I'm interested to see how and if it will fit.. When I do mine it is not easy at all if you blend in the edges so they look factory and what not... Please let me know if it fits...

the pod is color matched from autometer. i plan on attaching it w/ plastic push rivets just like autometer supplies w/ their pods. i havent worked on it anyfurther because i dont have an egt gauge yet to install, but i guess i could remove my srt10 pillar and tesj fit the dual pod pillar w/o the gauges. i doubt there will be any fitment problems as i mocked everything up a while ago before i started working on it. i will try to test fit and take some pics.

I'm gonna make one and blend it together so it looks molded and factory. Some epoxy, sandpaper, and paint it shouldn't be that difficult. The hard part will be replicating the texture but I was thinking if that turned out to be a big hassle why not just sand the texture somewhat smoother on both the driver's and passenger side so they match and then paint that? It's something I'm gonna work on this christmas vacation.

I think it looks great just how it is...I would just stick it on with some stainless counter sunk screws and call it a day

i dont have the part number but i cut the pod out of the complete autometer pillar for my year truck. the textures are close and the pod fits tight to the pillar, just like any other gauge pod would.

Yeah...X2 from me. I think this might have just solved my dilema for guage mounting.

More pics of it installed would be great!
