I have the QTP cutout. I absolutely love it. If you are just using it now and then, the bottom of the truck won't get too bad. I know that the noise inside the cab get pretty loud when I have the cutout open. I only use it when I am racing or trying to get someones attention!

Looks like you could configure that as an exhaust brake. Mmmm, now you've got me thinking.

How well does the butterfly valve seal? Any issues with it leaking?

Ive been thinking of doing somethin similar to this for a while but here is what I am planning... I want dual stacks in the bed of the truck with a fairly restrictive muffler so its good and quiet but when i flip the cutout it will bypass the muffler(s) and go straight into the stacks... maybe its hard to envision if so lemme know and I'll draw it out, its alot easier to understand then

Has anyone tried Doug's Headers Cut-Out? Components and Accessories

Unlike all the others I have seen they use a sliding plate to provide the seal rather than a butterfly valve. Seems like there could be less potential for leakage.

Was thinking about the 3 1/2" issue.
Does it really matter that its not 4"?
What i mean by that is you still have the stock exhaust system and the pressure would balance between the two. Would an extra 1/2" make that big of a difference?
