DIY CP3... Will I feel the difference?

As the title says, will I feel the difference if I do the DIY mod to the FCA in the CP3 IF I don't have a lift pump? I don't have the $$$ for a GDP kit yet, but I've got the time and alway am up for DIY performance mods. I was just wondering if it would help at all without the lift pump.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Jason

How easy is this mod exactly. Looks to me like you can screw things up easy with the dremel ,and if you do how much is a new FCA?

I replaced my FCA a year ago when I was having some surging problems. From Cummins it was $95.

How is your fuel pressure now with just the XZT? If you can pull it down to nothing now, the mod may make it worse because of the stock lift pump.

You can buy a Walbro pump and a regulator online and piece your own kit together for a lot less $$. I put mine together for less than half the cost of the kit.

Followed the directions to a T and ended up getting a new fca. Mileage went down and I even called and talked to someone before I did it. Still had problems. It wasnt hangin either. Dual cp3's are the only way I will go in the future. too bad its not cheaper or I would already have it done.
