DIY CP3 mod Piece of Cake
I modded my cp3 this morning and it was even easier than expected it works great a little more smoke... quicker throttle response...and more low end power...smoother power through acceleration the only trouble I had was dropping a bolt and spending 20mins looking for it it is a simple easy cheap way to gain power Ive heard of surging and other problems but it seems to be working with out any complications so far
After all this is the type of thing that keeps us Diesel nuts goin doing something yourself for free that would have cost big $$$

Its just enough more to be noticeable but Im only running a SC programmer on performance I think with a real box or stack it would be alot more.

I am no genuis or a mechanic if you are fairly apt at using hand tools and can undrstand the link shane put up you wont have any trouble. Its not like a can of snakes there arent many parts inside what you will be taking apart. Its kinda unnerving to take parts off a truck that only has 12,000 miles on it especially PUMP parts but it worked out ok for me. THere are several posts on this about surging afterwards but the majority of the surgers re posted and had no problems after taking it back out and cleaing up the valve like they should have the first time. Make sure it doesnt have any burrs on it inside and out.

ok... i just had to go out and try it. theres a lot more smoke, my fuel pressure guage is completely drained with the Diablo on Extreme and the Edge on level 5. its wayyyy time for a pump. but to sum up the install and the performance.... i probably wont see any benefit until i get a lift pump kit and get some more fuel to the motor. but it definently supplies more fuel, that for sure. good write-up and it went together exactly the way the directions say it will.
