you want the bolts about an inch and a half long they will stick out but otherwise you can't get the nut on,you can cut the bolt off after the pumps back together.I'm not sure about the idle thing and for now i'm not gonna worry about it because it's so minor and I'm gonna be taking this fca back out after I have a new one modded.

unless they changed things you can't buy the fca from the dealer because it's a star part, you gotta get it from a bosch dealer so here is the bosch #
0928400666,if you need a phone number for a bosch dealer let me know

thanks again rich. great job and write up. 1 last question. the 3/16"X1"l screws, were washers and nuts needed to bolt it back together?
I plan to either call in sick and play with it, or do it this saturday. thanks much.

all you will need dodgezilla is bolts and nuts, you could put a lock washer on if you wanted to but it's not necessary, the bolt and nut both sit down in a pocket so you need a bolt with a head small enough to fit down in the pocket.

I used the polishing kit that dremel has. I bought it from Lowes for 20.00. I cut the bottom off of the plunger completly. I also drilled out the pump used a 3/16 drill bit for both of the holes. I got 2mpg out of the FCA. I truely did. The pump mod didnt give me anything really At least not by the BUTT Meter.

Wouldn't that severly change the flow rate through the FCA and cause some major issues?
