A Stage 2 pump is comprised of different internal changes to increase the pump's displacement per revolution.
so I'm guessing a Stage II would have bigger plungers???

Yes, the other mods are as simple as the ones listed in the article.

Larger plungers and/or a higher lift cam for the stage 2.

It's incredible what some companys charge for such an easy mod. Not just the CP3, I have seen people figure out many things that others end up paying top dollar for.

You can't attach a hp figure to a cp3 - stage I or II. It does not add HP. It allows your power adders to do their job to their fullest. It's lke exhaust. Adding exhaust does not ADD power, it FREES UP power. So a modded pump will ALLOW whatever hp you are losing due to insufficient supply.

You know, there is something I dont understand about the article(s) that Chris wrote over there....He goes through how to mod and has pictures and everything and says this is the same thing that some companies charge 1100 for...and then in another article he is downgrading a modded single and says "There's very limited gains to be had there." and "The twin pumps are the only way to go."

So why waste all the time and energy on the modded single writeup? Whats up here?

I just got off the phone with Chris about this and he said that he put this up because its basiclly old news. We wanted to give something back. He said that with all the new dual, hyperdrive, cp3.4, or stage two and three cp3s he said that this is actually very old news. I asked him about gains and he told me it should allow for the use of another level on the TST. It really depends on the truck. I think he may have wrote the article well before the dual cp3s were out. So i think that may be why. Does that kinda answer your question Dan.
