Disappointing Dyno Number...436hp????
Well dyno'd it today on a dynojet.
Not even close to where I would think it would be. The dyno sheet is in the truck.
Best run was 9/9/3 made 436.hp corrected. 480hp was the uncorrected numbers. Torque was in the lower 700 range. Both at a peak of 2900rpm.
7/7/2, 6/6/2 and even 7/7 with the EZ taken out.....420-422hp. Edge EZ in or out, made no difference. However, you can feel it change levels when on the freeway. 5 runs total, highest was on 9/9/3, and it gained about 15hp total over the lower levels.
What gives here??? Would think this would be at minimum 500hp...525hp??? Funny thing is that the hp and torque went up when run on 9/9/3 versus the lower levels.
I have pics, even 3 mpegs taken. I'll have them up when I get back home (typing this from the motel home). The re was smoke, and it runs hard.
Same dyno last year this time....with the Banks 6-guns, slipping stock clutch and no fuel system....did 350hp.

I know how you feel. Everyone was telling me I would be around 400hp with my current stack (without the turbo) so although the numbers are respectable I was also disappointed. I honestly think I'm still gonna dyno below 400hp even with the new turbo....
Your torque seems really low for what you are running and your hp seems too high for that amount of torque....

My truck made it''s best no's around 5/5 with just a little pressur VA on low, 35hp setting, anything higher no's went down even with twins, with a single i would suspect you might have just been over fueled at 9/9 probably made some nice smoke though.

Should have ran 6/6 on the TST for max power.
I ran regular TST with EZ on my 04.5 and the STOCK turbo and got 462rwhp Uncorrected on the dynojet.
That was around 850ft lbs if I remember correctly. No pusher pump, no programmer, stock exhaust with no muffler or cat.
I also ran with a TS ramifier, Twins TST, no programmer with B104 turbo which is the same as HTb2 62/12 or PS62/12 and did 489hp on the same dyno uncorrected.
Max power was on level 6 also, I don't remember if I had the FASS or not yet.

Problem is 9/9/3 made more power than the lower settings.
7/7/3 426hp 745tq
7/6/2 421hp 742tq
Saw these two numbers, said screw it.....go for broke, see what happens here.
9/9/3 436hp 762tq Uncorrected was 480hp
Asked the owner for a rerun....and got this. Thought maybe the stack was hooked up different.
7/6/1 425hp 1200tq (yeah ok)
7/6 No EZ 422hp 740tq
There was a D-max there that ran 520/990 with a Edge Juice, Bd turbo and a PPE (or that's what they were saying. I don't know for sure).
You look around here and see these number in the signature, 497 just TST, 560 TST/EZ, etc......how they get these numbers????

You needed to start with level 5 and go from there.
Don't start with level 7.
If you go back and read older posts, this is ancient history stuff that was gone over many times.
People always think the higher levels make more power on the TST and they don't*
*unless you have a certain stack and combo of turbo (s)
Do you have the TST wastegate tube setup?

480 uncorrected? Thats close to where it should be.
Winter fuel is currently removing 6% from most of my customers trucks compared to the summer grades.
480 x 6% = 508.
Remember that the DynoJet, cold weather and Diesels dont always get along very well. Add a few more ponnies for cold weather and the numbers will be be "right on" 520 is not a stretch here.

I ran on the same dyno yesterday and got 526/912. These are the numbers with a .95 correction factor.
How do the correction factors work? What are my uncorrected numbers?

I don't get it, you should have been around the same as me. Perhaps your rail pressure relief valve is shot?
I got my best run without using any pressure at all. Check out this post:

I was also expecting better dyno numbers based on what others had posted. But then I looked at my stock dyno numbers and at realistic gains with the mods that I dyno'd with and realized I was probably seeing basically correct numbers.
Completely stock 48re, 3.73 gears and 315s dyno'd 272rwhp.
Added AFE Stage I, Torque Tube, Banks Moster exhaust and standard Juice/Attitude dnyo'd 360rwhp.
Switched to Quad XZillaraider Race box and dyno'd 379rwhp.
Added TC/Trans upgrade, AFE Stage II, FASS, II SPS66 turbo, HOT Juice/Attitude, Edge EZ dyno'd 479rwhp.
Switched to TST w/twins, Edge EZ and dyno'd best 503rwhp.
Add BD Triple Dog to TST and EZ and dyno'd best 522/930.
With all of the dynos with TST, EZ and some with BDDL Performance loaded I seem to hit a wall with the CP3 at some combination.
With TST and EZ stack the best numbers were at TST 7/7 and EZ Level 3. Anything higher on TST dropped HP.
With the BD Triple Dog Performance program loaded the same TST 7/7 and EZ Level 2 made best HP number. Anything higher dropped HP, 7/8 did up torque to about 950, but dropped HP.
522rwhp is 250rwhp over stock. TST 7/7 maybe 140hp, EZ Level 2 maybe 40hp, BDDL Performance program maybe 70hp adds up to about 250rwhp over stock. FASS, SPS66 don't make hp, just keep fuel and EGTs to where the HP can be used. Just my take on my dyno numbers.
Dyno numbers are so subjective that I don't really shoot for any high number, I just use the results to help tune the mods as changes are made. All but one of my dyno sessions were on the same DynoJet with the same operator. But the number that I am interested in is the 1/4 mile ET at the strip, that is my real bench mark, anything else is just tuning.

I could be wrong, but my understanding is that the refining capacity is dictating that everyone is getting winter blend. Since blended fuel is needed in some parts of the country or even a region, the lower capacity is forcing them to blend one type. Winter yukky!

Hmmmm, I did not really think that in Houston I would see winter blend either. Asking the ugh, clerk behind the counter is probably useless, and since nothing posted about diesel quality/certification/blend guess I will never know for sure.

The runs were made in 5th gear. Boost went straight to 50, then to 45. EGT's I don't know.....it wasn't at full pedal for more than maybe 4-5 seconds. That's how fast it ran out of gear, and at 3200 rpm, the computer really does de-fuel and fast at that.
There was a fair amount ofsmoke at the beginning, it did begin to clear at the end. The biggest thing was that it hit 3200rpm sooooo darn fast. Maybe that's why??
Either way, ran it home on 5/5/1.......got 19.89 mpg the entire trip (800 miles)(dyno runs, hot-rodding, crusinng 75-85mph) FYI, the overhead said 24.9 (I could only wish).
