Glad your diggin it man, it will get better, mine whistles louder than ever and screams outside. You're running the 4.4 with it , right? It oughta be spooling pretty darn quick, I know mine is!

Hello guys. Yeah, the 4.4/level 9. I have not noticed any high EGT's yet. This thing is fun. On the fwy at like 60 mph, there is hardly any boost, but then I touch the throttle and the boost rockets up and the truck takes off in a big way.

OK , You guys are killing me.

do I have to change my Silver62?

Do I need to go 71/64/14?, 71/64/13SS, 74/64/13SS, 74/64/14?

I wish I had all 5 turbo's, so I could test on equal territory.

After Market turbo's smoke the stock turbo's as far as exhaust note and whistle goes.... You can't compare the 2... NICE DEEP TONE WITH A C-5 Galaxy whistle....

I agree, the stocker used to be really raspy, but the tone now is just awesome. More smooth, but still commanding!!!

John,

Have you had a chance to evaluate the mileage difference? I'm thinking the easier breathing might help some if you drive it easy. Thoughts?

just a question, do most of yall have aftermarket ex manifolds with your new turbos? I know yall all say the sound is a lot better and I cant wait till mine gets in to hear it for myself. but does the ex man make a difference or does it just not really matter?

Seeing you have an 04, I will give you some of my experience: Mileage truthfully has stayed the same for me, unless I'm towing then it is on a decline. I see about 18.5-19 mpg with my driving habits. Spoolup is slower, but with the right programming it is bearable, especially considering the much more pronounced mid and top end. I am very pleased with this turbos performance.

I did'nt go with a new manifold, but the tone is surely different, the whistle is more noticeable in the exhaust. But its been stated that the exhaust manifold will change the tone and more importantly yield quicker spoolup.
