Diesel Tuner In Metro DC Area

Help, does anyone know of a good diesel tuner in the metro DC area? I've tried a couple without any luck. Any help would be appreciated!

Most of us up here take a road trip to see Timinva in Virginia Beach.
Lots of people can work on a truck but I trust a guy with a similar truck to mine that makes 650hp. I'd say he knows what he's doing!!

I'm making that trip this weekend!! WooHoo.........

I deal with a mobile diesel mechanic for our big trucks and his rates are very reasonable. I can check if he does any performance work if you would like..

dodgezilla,
actually, I would appreciate it if you could look him up. I need to get my FASS installed, and I just don't have the time. I bought the **** thing back in november, and between the kids, the kid on the way, the basement that needs to get finished, and well, working - I just can't make the time to get to it. not to mention that I have to do it outside since the truck won't fit in my garage...

I don't need a rocket scientist, just someone who will do a proper install of the FASS - preferably the same day. In the dulles/sterling/chantilly area preferably.

anyway, thanks in advance.

Well, he has so much work and such a hard time keeping good dependable help that he doesn't want to get involved in any HP stuff right now. I told him to think seriously about it because so many people need work done around here. I just got back from dropping my truck at Va Beach so Tim could do my trans and injectors. It stinks getting up at 4am on your day off!!

Installing the FASS is pretty simple. Just do it yourself. It's really easy on a long bed but the tank fitting is a real pain on a shortbed!!!

I'm in South Riding, outside of Chantilly. I put my FASS on last weekend. Its very easy to install. I did have to get Dodgezilla to give me a hand with the hose on the fuel tank. Other than that, its cake. It helps when its warmer than 30* with a 20mph wind outside when putting it on.

Trucks not fitting in the garage...must be a NOVA thing. Mine won't fit either. I guess you are expected to drive a little go-kart car up here.

thanks for asking. It's not the lack of knowledge that is keeping me from doing it. I am very comfortable working on cars/trucks -- at this point it is mostly a lack of time. I haven't even made the time to install the gauges I have had sitting in the garage for months. Fuel pressure/Oil pressure/Oil Temp.
I guess it will have to wait until the spring.

hmmm, list of to-do:
- finish basement flooring, bathroom, trim.
- get racecar ready and inspected
- get trailer inspected
- install all the truck accessories (gauges, fuel pump, tank vent, axle-hop control springs, painless wiring box)
- ... whatever the wife wants to add on top of that.
