Diablosport Predator + what stack?
Hey guys....i currently have the DiabloSport Predator on the extreme setting....its good but i'd like to have some more get up + go
I was thinking the Puck....but not sure as some reviews are good & some bad. I guess im in need of a fueling box.
Also, according to the Diablosport Predator in Diagnostics mode, im at 12.5psi at idle...im assuming thats atmospheric pressure and 37psi at WOT, so again im assuming 37-12.5 = 24.5psi @ full boost.......is this correct? Im using a Quad boost fooler BTW
Now i tried the "adjustable boost elbow" mod but i cant get the boost any higher by closing it completely off, at least according to the Diablosport Diagnostics.....im also cheating as i do have guages but not installed yet
Any info would be great on these subjects

im running the pred with the x2 and the camander for gauges, have you downloded the rkl tunes on diablos site?they will wake your truck rite up and make your tranny beg for mercy,i wouldnt run them without gauges though,i wouldnt run any of thier tunes without gauges, diablo uses a lot of duration to make the power and things get pretty hot,i tried the puck and didnt notice much but the x2 is awsome,it has updateable tunes and ones for stacking with presure only,i use a non timing rkl tune and use the timing on the x2.i like the adjustability of the x2 on the camander.

I run mine with a Juice, haven't loaded the RKL yet, just use extreme. It's a good stack, lots of smoke if you want it, and it's nice to have one component of your stack adjustable on the fly.

Check out my thread "about to get on the dyno" I was using an MP-8 from ts performance. The puck does go nicely with the predator also. As far as your boost readings they are way off, from my understanding the predator does not account for atmospheric pressure so its safe to say you should subtract about 15-17 psi for an accurate reading.

Ok thanks for the replies guys.....
So it looks like the X2 from Quad may be nice, adjustability on the fly.
As for the tunes, i havent downloaded them yet...can you guys tell me how i update the Diablosport unit itself....like how do i plug it into my computer to update it with the tunes?

you have to get a usb to serial port cord. kinda old school. I take my laptop to the truck and use the truck power to turn on the too. You can get the program to upgrade the tool from their site. Pretty easy. If you get the RKL tunes they are all stored on the tool under custom tunes. So really you will have 3 tunes plus the 4 rkl ones.
And they all come together in one file, when you send them to the pred. it goes fast, I thought it didn't work at first.

I am going to stack again. I found a nice place to buy new va 3.1s to $259. I know va is going out of business, or is out. But with my quad rail pressure gage, if I buy a puck or mp8, I have a whole slew of map sensor connections under the hood. I like the idea of avoiding this and using the 3.1, which connects to the ecm. I just don't know if the 3.1 is hot enough? I know it is conservative on top.
Do you guys think the puck and mp8 give similar results? Big price difference, $169 vs $375+.

i dont think the puck is the same as the mp8 unless you get the new puck extreme which is fully adjustable with a dial like the mp8,i had a va on my truck,it did have nice low end,if their going out of business though i wouldnt get one, unless its a used one pretty cheap,as stated before get gauges before running any tune, the pred uses lots of duration and that gets pretty hot
