Yep diablo just dont give a dang about their customers anymore they were at texas diesel nationals and I had spoke with them about a few things face to face saturday and they said they would pass it on too johan but I could tell his cigarette seemed way more important to him so I figured johan wouldnt ever here about it. Well sunday I decided to give them something to moan about and loaded up smarty 4.4 and layed down some passes to compare to my good diablo and x2 pass the day before then walked up to him with my slips from saturday with diablo the 13.466 and the smarty which they claimed stunk and layed down a 13.309 and they were in awhh over this i guarantee you that johan heard about that b/c he put his cigarette out and actually listened to what i was saying. LOL

well update, I sent Johan an email with a link to this thread, not on his case just simply asking for help. I guess we'll see. I run my own business and IMO it's not the problem, it's what you do to fix it that counts.

CReed: How do you manage to keep your EGTs to an acceptable level running the restrictive stock cat and muffler??? Your 1/4 times are awesome by the way!

pretty decent number for an otherwise stock truck creed! How does your stock trans hold up to all that power? My 6spd begs for mercy if im running anything about perf/econ tune on predator...

On topic:
You should DEFINATELY feel a difference in power with ANY of the tunes...even on tow I feel a difference.

I never said my egt's were acceptable. They are cooking, I think the main thing needed is a turbo right now, yes exhaust would help but not as much as you'd think.

My trans is holding for now I'm not really trying to thrash on it daily im not really a heavy footed daily driver like I used to be, really I dont have too nobody around here really messes with any of our trucks anymore they know better. My whole goal when I started was to see how fast I could get one on stock parts everyone said I was insane and never thought I would see a 13.5 but slowly but surely I have widdled my times down and found a stack that is really working well. I think I have found the limits on my current setup and now all the go fast parts will start trickling in bit by bit new goal is a true low 11 second daily driver.

But back on subject I sure hope Johan gets the message that their are a bunch of unsatisfied customers out their and changes need to be made. When a customer has a problem you dont let it go in one ear and out the other, thats bad for business and forumn post's like these are very bad for business. I understand he is the main tech their but geeze get him some help if needed.

I made 452hp/870tq on Extreme RKL and with my HTB2 turbo. I love the power this thing makes but since Johan has been working on the Hemi chip he has forgotten about the diesel guys. Kind of stinks......

Yeah i hear you. I used to be one led footed *****!! every redlight i had to at least squeel one tire or i wasnt happy. I consider myself fairly conservative with the go pedal now, which im sure my tranny appreciates.

So in a nut shell, with just the predator on extreme or RKL, everything else basically stock and the right driver behind the go pedal and the gear banger, you could have a low 14's high 13's truck? Basically with my current setup, could I possibly see high 13's low 14's?

The thought of an 11 sec daily driver is one thing but a 7000#+ full size pickup truck that runs 11's all day is a WHOLE nuther ball game

With a handshacker it is a whole nother ball game man we have done nearly everything possible to them in the past and they are deadly on the street from a roll but the fastest 6speed in the country BANSHEE only runs a 12.68 i believe and that is moving for a handshaker. It is possible not saying it isnt to see 13s especially with a 4wd but man it takes alot of parts and a good pocketbook.
As for a 11 second daily driver it is becoming a amazing realility seeing how useage of power adders such as programers and boxes can be removed or set back to stock for daily driving along with nitrous. And you can drive around on twin turbos, dual cp3s and big sticks and have a good 550-600 hp truck then add the power adders as mentioned above and be 900-1000hp. But that is lots of money and probably more then a year away for me but ill get their soon enough.

Smarty beta 4.4 sw#9 a x2 pressure only tune lvl 5 truck runs a 13.309 @102. 60' time of 1.94 soft half boosted launch didnt know what smarty was going to do. Only good pass Ive gotten to make with smarty.
All my passes are made while using a lockup switch and all stock parts other then the programer and box stack. Exhaust is factory not even straight piped, stock intake and filter, stock turbo, fuel system, and injectors, along with trans. all stock.
We also have another truck single cab 4wd 06 that ran a 13.04 with tst/smarty stack sw#9 with tst on 3/3 no pressure added all other parts stock like me besides 5" exhaust, s&b intake, and glacier system. Were gonna add some pressure and put twins tst program in it along with my stock wheels and head back to the track right b4 we do his trans. and try and bust into the 12s on mostly stock parts.

You said you are running SW#9 and TST-3/3. Any problems with double stacking the timing???

That is what I am running and have not found the sweet spot yet. Some of the post's that I have seen show that SW#5 seems to be the strongest by itself--average HP and TQ #'s.

I ran mine on the dyno at TST and ran SW#4, with TST 5/5 and it was waaaaay too hot. Rail pressure gauge wasn't hooked up.

Trying to figure out if the timing is better ran on the Smarty or the TST. Any opinions????

We were just playing around with it, on the tst and running the big proven sw#9 for the day we hadnt had the smarty more then a week and had only had the beta for a day so theirs still some fine tuning needing to be done. As for it being to hot yes it was hot but acceptable not alot of racket etc from the motor unless really cold. I like the adjustability of the tst and being able to adjust timing by each degree to find the sweet spot but we just havent had time to go back to the track and test each setting etc. This was on a otherwise stock 06 single cab 4wd that the smarty/tst stack was on. Theirs so many options with this combo of smarty/tst to be had and it would take weeks to test every setting etc. For now were just going to keep stack on same levels and just run twins. program for low end and add a little pressure into the mix this time .
