Is anyone running one of these on an 03? I'm looking for something to replace my Hot juice.
Thanks

Diablo vs Hot Juice

The Diablo will have less performance of course. Also the only thing I don't like about the Diablo was the idle. It has a rough idle. I've heard from some that the r-18 upgrade fixed theirs but then I heard from another member that the later r-19 gave him an even rougher idle,... sucks. I also spent at least 10 phone calls trying to get on with their tech guys and NO Dice!!! They must have ONE guy answering the phones. I tried the second they say they open and the recording says all agents are with other callers. If that's true you can draw your own conclusions.

The guys with 03's say no problem so maybe the rough idle is a 600 motor thing. I was wondering how strong the truck felt and if you have anything to compare it to.
Thanks
Chris

I've got r19 on mine as well. And I've got it stacked with my XZT box minus the timing. On performance she runs very strong. Haven't put it on Tow or Extreme yet. Nor have I been able to do a full throttle run due to weather/traffic. Pulls hard...

Feedback on the Predator for '03

I have several questions on the Predator Sport for the '03. Is the manual available online? Emailable?

Can you change the power programming on the fly while you are driving?

Any milage difference when not towing? While towing?

What was so interesting about the Predator that you chose that over something else?

I had the Edge EZ on it before I bought this one. There is way more power than I ever got out of the Ez. I keep it on performance/tow and I have gotten about 1.5 mpg better. On extreme it is very fun but I dont know how long my 47re would like it. On performance / tow my egt s stay good. I havent towed very heavy since I got it ,but I think it will do nicely.
I bought mine because MOST of the people using it like it. Also the price is very good. http://www.diablosport.com/index.php...display&pid=73

I would say it compares closely to the BDDL in performance. It is a more stackable product with the TST at least on my 04.5 model.

Wait a minute... You're saying the BDDL or the Diablo is more stackable with the TST? Diablo is timing and duration so that wouldn't be a good stack with TST...
BDDL we all know is a killer stack w/TST

Stacking and popping

The Diablo is more stackable for those who tend to have the popping than is the BDDL with the TST. That is based on my 600 and bunch of others who have commented on my thread about this problem. I can run the Diablo on Performance and the TST up to 5/2 without a pop or the pop-corn like problem. Not so with the CLDL which I can't run on even tow with the TST on 1/1 without the pop,... that makes the Diablo a better stack. I qualify that by saying that is a problem I have only encountered since I went twins. Prior to twins I ran the CLDL on performance and the TST to 5/5 without the poping. There has been all kinds of speculation on what causes this on various trucks with different mods. Some say they never had it b-4 they got twins,... some say they never had it b-4 they got injectors,.... some say we are running out of fuel and they have checked their pressure to insure that was the problem,.... I too have checked my fuel pressure and there is NO drop in my fuel pressure at the CP3 on through wot runs but yet I get the pop. Mark Chappel of TST told me he speculates/knows it to be a problem being caused my my extra tight tranny in combination with the twins and air backing up from the intercooler into the turbo while under wot acceleration. Whatever it is my truck now does not pop with the TST Twins and EZ with the EZ wide open and the TST to 7/2 and like I said it doesn't pop with the Diablo at Performance. The CLDL does pop and it's not anywhere near the extreme mode when it does it at tow setting. I hope this clears it up for you if you're running a 600 or 610. My next move is the TST singles version reflash and also the user timing feature and see where that leaves me on the CLDL and the PPE which both have the same problem when running the twins turbo setup.

Diablo and TST stack

I don't have an answer for you except it works. How do people stack a CLDL and a TST? It's done with some. How do people stack a PPE & TST,.. it's done with some. It works on the 600, .... at least with the mods I'm running and that's all I know. I kept going back to DL's as a supplement to the TST as that is where I have had the greatest pure power and performance in the past and the engine loved it. I intend to keep trying the DL's until I at least modify the timing on the tST to see if a more aggresive DL setting is available to me if the timing on the tST is reduced a bit. If that doesn't work I have the choice of going back to the TST/EZ or TST/MP8 but I don't think the truck will reach the next level without at least a performance setting from a strong DL, IMHO.
