Well, I'm gonna finally start doing things to the truck. I was thinking right now I'm gonna go with a Diablo Power Puck to start off with. I can get one for $200. Is there anything out there that is as good as that for the money? I'm new to 3rd gens. I wanted to get a Smarty JR but, money is not going to permit that right now. Any suggestions are welcome. I like my puck and got it for 165 shipped, it makes a very noticable difference and can be stacked later on. I say go for it.

Stage 3??? Sounds like you are talking about the dr. performance predator boxes, as opposed to the diablosport powerpuck

 

No i think hes talking about the 0,60,90 horspower level puck. I have one and you can get it through thouroughbred diesel for 165 shipped.

Expect some surge though with them. They are a good bang for the buck, but a little unsophisticated. Surge occurs at light throttle at lower RPMS.

 

I made the numbers in my sig with a puck/predator stack. Great power for the money IMO. I have not had any issues with mine to date. I normally run around with the predator on performance/economy non puck tune. If I want to go fast all of a sudden I have turned on the puck and noticed the difference, but I have not really run the puck by itself. .02

 

The puck with a Boost fooler works awesome and gets me a few more mpg's
You need a external boost fooler because if you evr plan on making over 44psi of boost for 3 seconds your truck will go limp. Trust me!! Turbo over boost condition

I had a puck for a while and never had any surge issues. I would definitely watch the classifieds here because you can get it much cheaper than $200.00. Heck, you can get the Puck and a fooler for less than that. Just keep checking the classifieds everyday.....

You need a boost fooler if your gonna use the puck.

 

i have a puck with a quadzilla fooler and love it. I dont really need much more power than what it gives. havent had any issues with it and you just cant beat the price!
