I was on ebay today and saw a Magnum Force AFE torque tube that replaces the stock air tube from the air filter to the turbo inlet. They claim more power and quicker turbo spool up. Whats the skinny on these? Worth it($115.00)? Does it work? Any help would be appreciated.....Thanks

It works but you should be able to find it cheaper than that.

I think it may work just because it is a smooth piece of plastic versus the accordian style rubber boots which our trucks come with from the factory.

Thirsty 600, I want to do the AFE progaurd 7 and the torque tube to my wifes rig.......did it make it any noisier, she wont go fer that???

Yes, you will get much more turbo noise, but you will also fell better throttle response, faster spool up, and about a 3/4 MPG increase.

I built mine for $7.50 from a piece of 5.25" OD steel tubing. No difference in performance but a little louder turbo at slow speeds. Just enough to hear it.
