Crazy Larry off-boost fueling?
Well, since I do alot of driving now with college in stop and go traffic 20 miles one-way every day (**** south campus ) I can realize how laggy the SPS66 is. Just this sunday I ran a 13.95 @ 97.5mph on my 37x12.5" cooper mud tires on a stock tranny and wouldn't mind a bit more fuel (settings were 4x5, 25%) and barely hit 1,450 at the end of the track. I found my mysterious "my egts aren't matching everyone else's" problem. It seems the AFE pre-filter is alot of restriction. I took it off (yes it was dirty as hell) and my EGTS dropped 150 degrees at the end of the track. Anyhow, my question is how is off-boost fueling with the Crazy Larry program? I can pour smoke like a freight train once I get moving, but if I floor it I have to wait 2-3 seconds before I get some smoke (even with early twins program). I remember my downloader felt pretty good right when you touched the pedal and smoked a good amount just flooring it in neutral. I'll restate my question because I've continued to babble on. How is off-boost fueling with the Crazy Larry?

I think the BDDL fuels well off-boost. I can't get the C/L for my truck, but no matter.
My BDDL stacks best on "tow" with the TST. Smokes like a freight train, especially with the "early twins" on 3x3 or higher. "Performance" actually smokes less.
I like running "tow" and about 20% Ramifier, and using the TST in various "kill" settings.

John,
The Crazy Larry program is noticeably more agressive and power ramps up quicker than the regular extreme program. Twice as strong, I don't think so, but very strong. Stabbing the throttle in neutral will produce a fair amount of smoke. Nailing it from a stop will produce a large cloud untill the turbo lights. After this mine cleans up and goes. For everyday driving, you will smoke someone by accident if you are not careful.
The MP-8 is still king of low-boost fueling in my opinion though. I just don't like using too much fuel pressure on a daily basis.
Chris.

That's what I need. I'm getting kind of tired of lag, even with the TST twins and mp8 there is lag. I can floor it at a stoplight and not hit 10psi by the other side of the intersection on the settings that dyno at 486 on 37" tires.

John...
You should be able to make 550 or so with just the MP8 and the TST Twins...
even with 37's. Do you have another bottle neck?
Have you dynoed 6-4 and 50% or so on the MP-8?
I know your truck is a 05 and mine is an 04...but it should be real close. Maybe my turbo makes the difference?
It takes me 1/2 and intersection before it lights without any staging...

550whp on 37" tires equates to 595whp on 30" tires. I dyno'd my truck on 30" tires, went and bought 37's, and strapped myself back down the same day. I lost 45whp to the tires. Then again, my transmission does slip a little (stock) and I'm on the stock fuel system. I dyno'd at 530-some on 30" tires. My best power was at 4-5 and 20%. I'm hitting 1,450 at the end of the 1/4m running 60psi of boost.

So what is the consensus then? C/L, TST (3/3???) and EZ/Mp8 on 1/10%?????

John, If your tranny was actually hooking up you'd boost faster as there would be more real load on the engine sooner. The TC lock up switch is still switching what's left of a badly beaten tc and tranny Too bad school came before the new tc vb and flexplate. ks

Suggestion
John,
I have a suggestion: I don't know your exact air setup, but try using the stock 90 degree turbo inlet elbow with the opaque air guides and the Airraid intake tube. Just try this and then tell me I am full of something. It is a cheap experiment. I think you will see some improvement, perhaps more.
I had a long conversation with Mark @ TST today. The subject was mainly rail pressure. I know much has been devoted to the volume side, but pressure is another related thing that has a HUGE impact on actual performance. I think you should look at the values you are seeing; at least up to the saturation point of the sensor. If the PCM is commanding a value of 24K and you are actually seeing 14K, you will lose BIG power. There are multiple reasons.
