These cracks are common when you enlarge the wastegate volutes. Enlarging the volutes provides better wastegate efficiency and bleeds off more drive pressure at WOT. Enlarging the volutes is one of the first thing aftermarket companies do to "customize" their S300 variants. There is usually not enough material left around the volutes to withstand the constant expansion and contraction from the heat cycles. Given enough time and use, most all will develop cracks.
The fix is to get a housing with stock volutes as manufactured by BorgWarner that II or HTT hasn't molested yet. These should last. You could also get a SS housing from HTT. It has larger volutes cast into it with adequate supporting material to prevent this very thing. Spendy though $$$.
