CP3 removal and reinstall

Hey guys, I did my cp3 mod a while back and didnt get everything cleaned up quite good enough so on colder days my truck doesnt start the first time. My problem is that the t25 bolts that hold the fca in the cp3 are stuck so I need to pull the the pump so i can get at them better. Im just wondering if its a lot of work to pull the pump and reinstall it, or are there any special tools needed to complete the job? Thanks Joel.

I think the bolts and the pump may have bonded together, i didnt use any antiseize when I did mine. I know i didnt tighten them that tight, they wont move what so ever, and the torx heads are stripped now, I may try a different allen wrench but I dont think ill be able to get them to move. I was thinking that i may have to try and drill out the bolts and tap with a smaller bolt? If any of you guys have any other ideas im all ears. Its finally getting cool enought that im starting to notice the funny start.

Maybe try driving the next size up or like you said an allen, or it may be easier to pull the pump, I havent pulled mine yet so I will let someone who has advise you on that.

Good luck

I need to give it a real shot, by removing the intake horn and jacobs brake pump but I thought if its not to hard to remove the pump then I may just do that and then I know I can get it done. Thanks Will

No problem, I wish I could be more help.

FWIW, I think you can do it without removing the radiator hose but I believe most do remove it.

I had the same problem. I striped out the bolts. I ended up using a dremel and making a cut in the head to use a regular screw driver on them. It worked.

With stripped bolts/nuts I usually have luck using a hammer and screwdriver or chisel. Hit the bolt/nut on the edge and it should rotate free. That's if you have room of course.
