cp3 drain?

was wondering if you guys think i'm draining the rail, or if i have a popped a rail relief. Very little fuel in the rail cap. With the tst on stock setting at wot the rail spikes to about 18-19000 with the tst on Wicked i can hit 25000 with light pedal. At wot with tst on it drops to about 6-7000 in split second. I know i need a cp3 upgrade but thought it would be a little better then this. What does my rail pressure REALLY need to be held at for an 03-04 cranked all the way up.

Thanks,
Denverdodge

What exactly are your TST settings. If you are in the tt03 program, you won't get past 3-3 without draining the rail. If you are on standard, then you won't get much further than 6-6. If you can spike to 25k, then your relief valve is still good.

Do you have a TST with rail pressure, if so, try unplugging just the rail pressure part. Plug it into itself to keep out dirt and put things back to factory on the rail sensor. This helped mine out alot.

yes it has the rail option and and the settings are 5-3 on standard, i used to run 7-4 before the injectors and never had any problem with the rail. dyno'd 522 before injectors but now it feels worse maybe to lack of fuel? so i take it you don't run any higher rail pressure. mines drops wether i have it on or not so i don't think it matters until i get twin cp3's.

also is it the tq settings that add more fuel or is the power setting? or do either? or is it just the adjustable rail that just adds the fuel on the tst?

Hard to say what is lacking and were. The TST box is just a little finiky. It runs great when it's 100%, but can be a pain when things start acting up.

I think the tq settings are for duration. I really can't remember. If it is, then thats what will drain your rail fast.

I actually run mine on standard 7-7, but it will fall on its' face if I step on it too hard. If I ease into things the rail will keep up, barely.
Put it on tt03, 4-4 and it won't get over 20mph before draining the rail. Even the lower setting in tt03 are just too aggressive for a stock pump, but a blast when you have the fuel to keep things happy.
