If it is an 06, the Edge Juice/Attitude has the timer, but check the build date of your truck first......if it is an 06/06 or newer, they are having problems with them working properly, and are currently working on a fix for it.

I know you're looking for a box\programmer with a timer, however if your interested most remote starters also have a turbo timer option. (never mind me I'm just trying to spend more of your money.)

I would recommend the isspro turbo saver, 115 bucks from www.dieselmanor.com It works off of egts, not time. Much more precise that way

I would get a TST r-49 it has just about everything you will need, plus it will make your truck haul butt

Morkable - what is a safe EGT for shut down on a 5.9 Cummins ? I just installed the gauge, and usually I (being cheap) have a second key and let her cool while I re-fuel or unload (as I can lock the cab), before shut down. But now with the gauge I could use that as my "signal". Thanks

It depends a bit on where you have your probe, but if you are pre turbo, I feel it is safe to shut off between 350 -375, and dont get to worked up about it if I have to shut down at 400. If you are post turbo, take about 25-30 degrees off of that.

One thing to keep in mind, alot of gas stations now will not fill your truck up if it is still running. And if you just come in off of the highway and worked it a little bit, it can take up to 5 minutes to shut down. What I do is pull into a parking lot and let it idle a bit before I pull up to the pumps. I get my fuel additive ready, and stuff like that, or go to the washroom.

Thanks. Mine is pre-turbo. I have found usually on the diesel tanks the trucks are running (if I am hauling my 44' I fuel @ truck pumps) - so it is easy to just lock it. Also, of course, if you have been going along a side street, or sat at a light, etc., she has already started cooling down from the highway.

Yes that is true. I dont have that luxry. You will love that isspro if you get it. Works just slick, and it has an override too if you need to shut it down early too

I`m running the BD cool down timer on mine. It works off temp instead of time also. Mines set to shut down at about 300*. It installs very easily and BD even includes all the connectors. Seems like I gave $150 for mine from BD
