I actually programmed the pressure curves down on some trucks with them.
Yes, pressure makes more power, lowers smoke and really wakes up areas of the RPM range, but for daily driving....I loathe it. Ya know, the Cummins has a generation 1 CR injector in it. There are the weakest ones.
The 03-04 trucks seeem to do ok with the mild pressure increase for daily driving. They run 2000 PSI lower at idle and mid-range stock than the 04.5 and up. They are roughly 3000 PSI lower at highway speeds. They also have 1 less injection event. This slows wear and tear.
Racing, etc....get after the pressure and have fun. Going to grandmas house for Christmas...turn it down.

I see very low pressure even with the presssure box cranked way up. I struggle to see 18,000psi. I know it saves me on injectors but I know I am missing some ponies. My buddy has 2001 truck with alot of work done pushing close to 600hp and I can still walk him on the highway but I know my truck has more there. I sold my bullydog today and waiting to hear from John about my pump and will be looking for a Smarty soon. So what about selling them pressure boxes for sled pulling and racing?
