Commander only displays on first start of the day?
My Commander is only lighting up on cold starts. If the truck gets up to operating temps and I shut it off, when I start the truck back up, the Commander won't display. X2 still works, it's just locked into whatever level I had it set on before the Commander decided not to come back on? Anyone have any solutions? Quadzilla? Jeremy?

Check your ground. I originally had mine grounded under the dash by putting the ring terminal under one of the large nuts attached to the aluminum thing. Per another post here I moved the ring terminal to the screw that holds the bottom of the dash knee panel.

it started about 2 weeks ago. I've had working fine for like 2 months before that.
I also tried a straight ground to the battery. It didn't work. I'm down in Dallas now so I stopped over at Quad's shop there. They replaced the resistors inside the monitor. That didn't work either. So, tomorrow I'm going to get a new monitor from Jeremy there at Quad. We'll see if that fixes it. If not, then I'll go back to Quad and get a new harness. One things for sure, if Quad sells it they'll honor it.

I had to get a new Commander. But, after like 2 weeks it started again. I haven't driven it much lately. Maybe my truck has a problem. Heck if I know what's wrong. I'll keep updating this as I figure it out.

I'm guessing that there is a fuse tap problem. Double check that the tap is in the right fuse, if not....try putting it straight to the battery with a switch to eliminate a power problem......then may have to go to the ground side if the power wire doesn't make a difference.

Good point. I could have tried putting a direct hookup to the battery with a switch. I never thought about that. B/c upon further review, Quadzilla tested my old monitor for a week straight trying to get it to over heat or anything on their test machine. Never happened. Monitor and resistors were perfect. The only conclusion we came to is that my #28 fuse port is just acting up at times and it's a problem with my truck. Not the Commander. But, it's not a big deal now b/c I'm actually trying to sell the Commander for analog gauges. I prefer the look of the analog gauges over the digital's.
